About Dr. Brandon J. Richard, Ph.D.

A School Psychologist in private practice in Lafayette, Louisiana, Dr. Richard obtained a B.S. in Psychology from Toccoa Falls College, a M.S. in Clinical Psychology from Northwestern State University, and a Ph.D. in School Psychology from The University of Southern Mississippi. He then went on to complete his pre-doctoral internship at the Louisiana School Psychology Internship Consortium (LAS*PIC) in New Orleans and his post-doctoral supervision while working in the Vermilion Parish School System.

Brandon is licensed as a Psychologist in the state of Louisiana and is eager to provide support to parents and children. His private practice focuses primarily on education, prevention, intervention, and consultation for parents and children as it relates to academic, behavioral, and social skills. He plans to also provide mental health counseling to children struggling with anxiety, regulation, awareness, and coping. Brandon will provide workshops and psychoeducation as a means to inform individuals and bring clarity to the many aspects of psychology and education.

Brandon enjoys reading, fishing, music and traveling. He is married and has two children with whom he enjoys spending time.
